7 Simple and Budget Friendly Halloween Crafts for Toddlers

Happy Halloween everyone! Spooky season is here, or perhaps “spoopy” season: adorable and fun with a side of slight spookiness! I’m excited to share some toddler Halloween crafts with you!

The season provides multiple opportunities for activities that are fun for the whole family, especially young ones! As the days become cooler, there may also be more time spent inside. Halloween crafts for toddlers are a perfect source of entertainment and holiday fun while also teaching motor skills, communicating skills.

I have gathered seven Halloween crafts that are perfect for parents and guardians to do with their little ones. They are all super easy to execute while also being scary cheap. See what I did there? All of the activities are simple to do while also being ideal for your toddler to be involved in. The materials that are used can be purchased at the Dollar Tree or Amazon for an extremely budget friendly price.

Let’s get started! Below is the list of crafts that I have made. I made each of these with my own daughter and she had so much fun making all of them!

Not only are these the most adorable little handprint ghosties, but they are also the best keepsake. They can hang on your Halloween tree for years to come! The article I wrote about how to make them is here. I used this air-dry clay that I bought from Amazon.

You need four materials for this craft: cotton balls, black construction paper, glue and googly eyes. All of these materials can be purchased at Dollar Tree.

3. Paper Plate Jack-O-Lantern

Another craft where things can get unique! I bought paper plates, green and black construction paper, and washable orange paint all at Dollar Tree. Have your toddler paint the plate as they wish and then help them glue on a stem and eyes that you cut out of the construction paper. Super easy and cute!

Grab a welcome mat of your choosing in the $5 aisle at Dollar Tree and create your own unique Halloween design involving your toddler!

5. Play dough spider
This is a picture of air dry clay spiders with pipe cleaners as legs and googly eyes. The craft is a toddler Halloween craft that is budget friendly and easy.

The game is in the name! You need Play Dough in the color of your choosing, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes. Roll the Play Dough into a ball. Cut the pipe cleaners to the desired length, then stick them in the ball of dough so they look like spider legs coming out the sides. Glue googly eyes on, and you have a Play Dough spider!

6. Halloween Sticker Trick-Or-Treat bag

Two things: white paper bag and Halloween stickers. DONE. I grabbed a pack of white paper bags from Dollar Tree and used this pack of 120 sheets of Halloween stickers from Amazon! This pack will last you through numerous Halloween crafts in the future!
