Spring has sprung, everyone! This time of rebirth and warmth, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Though it may take awhile for it to appear, the process of rebirth and renewal can be really powerful. The idea of a brand new start can be appealing to many, especially after a long winter. Blooming flowers, green grass, chirping birds, and sunshine can do wonders for one’s mood. Even is spring has not sprung completely yet, a spring movie list can really bring the joy of spring.
Though we have a really short post this week, it’s a fun one! With spring on the way, spring activities are in full swing. However, sometimes with spring, rain can be present. Though this is a good thing, it can be rough when we want to get outside. Movies can help with cabin fever on those days, so I thought putting together a spring movie list would be perfect!
A spring movie list that brings the aesthetic!
I have gathered a list of movies (with the exception of a couple tv shows that I HAD to include) that I believe would be perfect for your springtime movie days/nights. Now, full disclosure, my list does fall more to the “romance” and “fantasy” genres. When it comes to spring time, I tend to take on a full “Austentian” and “fairytale” aesthetic, so you can understand why these are the movies I chose. There are a few exceptions, but many of these are overrun with Get ready for, tea, magic, and pastel fabrics galore!
Below is my list for a springtime movie list!
- The Sound of Music (1965)
- Lord of the Rings trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Two Towers (2002), The Return of the King (2003)
- Pride and Prejudice (2005)
- Marie Antoinette (2006)
- Made of Honor (2008)
- Princess and the Frog (2009)
- Letters to Juliet (2010)
- Downton Abbey (show) (2010)
- Midnight in Paris (2011)
- Cinderella (Live Action) (2015)
- Christopher Robin (2018)
- Bridgerton (show) (2020)
There you have it! What do you guys think? What’s your favorite movie on this list? What else would you add to the list?
Time to grab some tea, cakes, your favorite pastel outfit, and settle in for the springtime cinema!
